Nissan launch 2 new models Nissan launching 2 new models at the show The world’s first mass-produced ‘full size’ electric car and a stylish SUV-come-sports car are among the exciting line-up from Nissan at this year’s show.

The Nissan Juke (pictured in banner) is a funky alternative to the conventional hatchback and is the first time it has been seen in Auckland. The Nissan LEAF (pictured above) is a 100% electric, zero emission full size car – it has no tail pipe. It’s super quiet, has huge amounts of torque and can be charged while you sleep, while you shop and even while you work. Check them out together with the all new Nissan GT-R on site 16 at the show.


Classic cars, Rods, Customs & Street Machines cruise with Meguiar's Meguiar's Car Crazy Cruise The annual Meguiar’s Car Crazy Speedshow Charity Cruise arrives at the Showgrounds just before 11am on Saturday 23rd.

The cars will complete a couple of laps of honour around the outdoor arena and then park up for all to admire. Afterwards meet the Smits Group Meguiar’s team at Meguiar’s Car Crazy Central in Hall 2.


The Art of Airbrushing on Display
Watch the experts and have a go yourself. See some fantastic airbrushing on both cars, trucks and a trike. A car bonnet will be airbrushed over the weekend with an image of Kiwi V8 Supercar star Jason Richards. To be auctioned at the end of the Show, all proceeds will go to helping fund Jason’s battle against a rare type of cancer. Let’s support this worthy cause and get Jason back behind the wheel soon!

Formula SAE Team Formula SAE Team For the last 5 years, we at Speedshow have been proud to support the University of Auckland Formula SAE Team; a dedicated group of engineering and commerce students who design and build a Formula style racecar each year. Check out this state-of-the-art racecar and buy a raffle ticket to help them get the team to Melbourne, where they be taking on teams from around the world at the Australasian Formula SAE competition. Check them out at site 108.

Building a racecar? Building a racecar? Then make sure you talk to the team from Race Brakes in Hall 2. Hugely knowledgeable, and stockists of all the big brands in brakes, they will also have the AP Racing floor mounted reverse pull type pedal box on display, as used in the V8 SuperTourers. Head to site 91.

Fun for the Kids! Fun for the kids Let the kids have fun on the Vertical Bungy!

Or how about letting them drive a hot rod? OSH approved and safety tested, and can be safely driven by anyone 6 years and over. Full supervision and maximum safety, a remote shut off is installed on all the cars.

There is also a giant slide, 4WD rides, the crazy Variety Bash vehicles and plenty of giveaways!
