1) Can you get decent cup holders for an E36?
2) If the ignition key turns around and around in the ignition barrel, then catches, is this:
a) difficult to fix?
cool.gif an immediate fix required?
c) expensive?

hi . yes you can get cupholders like this .
also can add a armrest if needed.

i have some for sale if needed.

yes the ignition barrol needs repairing or rplace the whole housing ,depends wether the barrol can be reomved if they a locksmith can get it to work and in the correct postion .

otherwise you have to replace the ign barrol and housing etc .
take a bit of time to do and needs a bit of skill

have those too if needed.

I want my next E36 to have a cup holder set and arm rest.

You really do notice the lack of them on the motorway!

Heh, comedian!

I got the half cut setup in the right position this afternoon, shall do the trick perfectly. Many thanks Brent!

Will have to document the build and present it in a thread near to completion.

Now the fun begins! rolleyes.gif

Wouldn't mind the arm rest and cup holder myself but I understand the compact is different and the arm rest wont fit.

My ign just crapped out this afternoon. Wish I had looked on here before it happened. Do you still have that ign barrel and housing? If so, how much do you want for it?
